For Couples Only
This post is like a pictorial guestbook for some of the couples of bird species I had as visitors or residents in my backyard.
The amount of birds that frequent my feeders is large but from those I have picked some of them as couples.
I feel very satisfied that I’m able to see new generations of birds every year and also for being possible to photograph a great deal of their daily life. It’s not very long before the season will change and most birds will fly away to their migration habitats, but I’m happy that I’ve contributed to their wellbeing.

The Goldfinches look wonderful. Like Canaries almost 🙂
They are related to the Canary species. Good observation Marianne! 🙂
How many points do I get? 😀
I’m soooooo smart!*
*lucky guess.
Very cute…. I knew by the title of your post that I was going to find a Northern Cardinal couple somewhere in there! I always call them Mr. and Mrs. Bird.
Thank you Annie! 🙂
This is a really nice post HJ. A great theme.
Thank you so much Dave! I’m glad that you think so! 🙂
I like this post too. It’s nice to see pairs!
Great! I’m so glad that you’ll safe the same feeling! Thanks! 🙂
Another share of bird behavior of love and bonding that more humans should pay attention to. Love this post, HJ!
I’m sure you understand this well! With 33 years happily married you are super qualified! 🙂
