If you Install them, They will Come!
Watching the Ruby-throated Hummingbirds coming to eat to my feeder very day is just a treat. Such a small bird that weighs most likely 1/2 the weight of your wedding ring! They are beautiful creatures, amazingly agile and fast flying.
They must be nesting in the nearby pine trees by the creek because they go in that direction after they feed.
Iโm so happy that this year I decided to install a hummingbird feeder, now Iโm very pleased to have these beautiful birds.

That is such a cool looking bird!
You’re absolutely right! Thanks for your comment! ๐
Wow, beautiful, not just the birds, the feeders too!
Thanks Christine, you’re very kind! ๐
We have several hummers flying around our place too. Our neighbors have a feeder, and I think a pair nested near out stream as well. I think we currently have 4 or 5 of them. Every now and then, we’ll see one sitting on an exposed branch, ready to chase away any hummingbirds thinking of getting a sip from the feeder. It’s a lot of fun to watch.
Great shots as always! ๐
Thanks Derrick! I enjoy them very much too! ๐
love it ive been thinking of doing the same
By all means you should! You’ll love the results. Thanks! ๐
This is my first year with a feeder too. Hummingbirds are one of those creatures we might never know are there until we draw them out with the right treat. Now I never tire of watching them!
That’s exactly what happened to me. Yesterday and today we have had copious rain and I saw the hummingbird still feeding! Amazing! ๐
Awesome captures HJ! The last inflight shot is superb and I love the peekaboo title on the first!
I’m enjoying these birds so much! Thanks Donna! ๐
