Rhapsody in Blue, key of J

I’ve just had a great day in company of several Blue Hays! Often they stop by and soon after they depart. They usually are in a shyish mood and their company amounts to nothing extraordinary.

This time they were all over the place, eating my sunflower seeds, playing around and even feeding each other with their bills. It was like music for the eyes. In one side we had the Blue Jays and in the other side all the Northern Cardinals but not antagonizing at all. There were two parties of separate groups.

I’m dedicating my attention to the Blue Jays because is the first time that I so them so happy and stayed for hours.

I even added extra sunflower seeds for everybody in the party. Funny that all had tufted coiffures! 🙂

    • Great pictures, HJ! Looks like these guys are in full breeding plumage and ready to get down to business. Lucky you to have them stick around, they can be elusive.

    • Oh yes, I got a series of shots, this was a rare opportunity because they are very evasive most times. Thanks Tom! 🙂
