Eastern Phoebe
Eastern Phoebe is not a common bird in the area where I live. They’re small birds that are not easy to spot if they are on trees. Their basic colors make a great camouflage.
These birds have a gentle face with a small flatten bill.
E. Phoebe feed mostly on insects which they catch in flight. It is a migratory passerine bird, they do their wintering on the southern end of USA and as far as central America.

A tiny and proud looking bird. Great photos!
Thank you Marianne! 🙂
You have inspired me to try to take some shots of our little blue wrens tomorrow – wish me luck! They look a bit like these birds!
That’s great Julie, besides it will distract you from your daily problems! 🙂
Nice pics, H.J. 🙂
Thanks Bob! 🙂
Sweet little face.
Yes! It looks like a toy! Thanks Amy! 🙂
I saw one in the forest a few weeks ago when there were not many leaves on the trees. You are correct in saying they are not easy to spot.
The only way to get pictures of them is when they stop to eat from feeders. Thanks for your comment Annie! 🙂
