After the Storm

One of the most popular and favorite birds are the Northern Cardinals. I like them a lot! Many visitors have mentioned their fondness for these handsome birdies. I happen to have been blessed by having several nests of Cardinals in the surrounding areas near my backyard. This allows me to see them almost daily. I shot some pictures on Saturday:

  • Northern Cardinals
  • Downy Woodpecker
  • Carolina Chickadees
  • Mourning Doves
  • Song Sparrows
  • Field Sparrows
  • Red-shouldered Blackbird (F)
  • Northern Mockingbird
  • House Finch

But today is dedicated to the Northern Cardinals. I hope that you like them. I shot them from my studio’s window through the glass. It’s cold again today.

Friday night we had several hours of tornado warnings, flood warnings and lightning caution. The tornados luckily passed a few miles away from our area but we got lots of rain and high winds. Saturday morning I had to reset all my feeders, the seeds were gone with the wind and rain. I had no damage at home or any of my neighbors. That was good! 🙂

  1. Thanks Julie, I posted those because I had several people telling me that they love the Northern Cardinals. If I ever go to Australia I’ll bring you one! Thanks for your comment! 🙂
