Great Blue Heron
Great Blue Herons are one of my favorite birds for photography, they make good subjects, one good reason for that is that they usually move slowly and it’s definitely easier to have a good photo session.
Their size and elegant posture are plus qualities also.
I have two photographs I picked from my files for today where you can verify my observations.

I’m an amateur at photography but got some shots of a heron in Alton Illinios just the other day. I posted some of them. There are also some great eagle photos to be taken there in the Winter (not by me though). Love your exciting heron photos!
