I got a couple of Eastern Towhees that must have a nest nearby somewhere in my backyard, I see this couple almost daily and are inseparable, these birds are a poster for Valentine Day! 🙂 No kidding! They go every where together, if you happen to see either one somewhere in the backyard, just look around, not very far and you’ll notice a long tail sticking out of the grass flashing the white feathers. Just amuses me to observe their moves.

The Eastern Towhees are very nice looking birds and love to mind their own business, I’ve never seen them involved in any confrontations or problems with other birds. Are  birds that exclusively eat on the ground. The have never been to the feeders!

In case that you didn’t know, the male is black and the female is brown.
