Holy Bird!

I was going through my files and found these two photos I shot when I went to the Western Wall of the Holy Temple (Bait Hamitdash) or Wailing Wall in Jerusalem.

I couldn’t help myself to record this with photography. I take it that the bird is a house sparrow that found a hole in the stone wall and made it into a nest. Good for him!

Taking the heat!

Another conclusion derivate from my bird observations is that when the weather reaches higher temperatures like the ones we are getting daily, most birds are feeding from the ground rather that the feeders. Also a fact is that they spend less time flying, instead they walk more, choosing high grass as their preferred venue and of course under trees where is shaded from the sun. However in the early evening there are hordes of birds of all kinds eating until the finish all there is in the feeders. But for me is more difficult to take pictures because the low lighting. It’s fun to sit outside and look at the birds feed from our deck. I enjoy it very much. Makes me happy to see the little creatures eating and satisfying their hunger with my help. Here are some pictures for you.

My friends, I apologize for not posting blogs for a few days, I’ve been very busy on a 1000 things, I still am but I had a little time to look in my files and found some pictures  which I’d taken in New Jersey previously, I picked 3 that I’m posting today.

The shots are from a couple of Mallard Ducks swimming around the lake.

As soon as I get a break from my duties and a break from the very warm and humid weather I’ll resume my work as a bird photographer. I promise! Thanks! 🙂

“Mr.De Mille I’m ready for my close-up!”

I think it’s time to get close to our pets and animals not only via close-up in photography but by giving some of your time to play with your pet, see that everything is fine with them, let them know that you love them and care for them. Pets are just an extension of our family and we should treat them like one. They will be loyal to you the rest of their lives even when sometimes your own relatives are not.

I’m a little moved by an incident that happened to my lovely cat Mimi but thanks G-d she’s fine. Maybe I’ll tell you the story some other time.

Anyway, remember that your pets or any animals are living creatures that are in a lower level of intelligence but are part of our lives and should have the attention priority immediately after our family in care and love.

Is it time for you to get ready for your close-up?
