Wow! 2014

Wow! Can you believe that it’s the first day of 2014…already? Time flies when there are so many things going on in our lives. I can remember being a teenager and wanting days to pass faster so I could be an adult and reap the benefits of being one. Of course that was a teenager’s mind!

I believe that being busy all the time makes life more interesting, less boring and can make it more productive in many ways. Studying anything is always a good investment, even when you may change your mind about it, then go for a different one that will make you feel more comfortable.

It’s not a bad idea to have your career already and still pursue another venue to complement your economic assets.

Work for a living is honorable, good and necessary, that is if you want to have a normal family life and a respectable member of Society. I recommend it!

I will continue blogging and publishing posts about birds and write a bit of my everyday life. I enjoy this very much,  I also appreciate my readers “likes” and comments.

Next are some freshly new photos for you:

Alarm Call?

After having a rainy night, this morning stopped and dried a bit. This allowed me  an opportunity to shoot some pictures. (Some of those pictures you’ll be able to see below). As in most rainy days the sky was gray and dark but I ran into a bit of luck a because the sky brightened nicely and I saw a lot of birds coming out to eat to the feeders and that was the break I wanted for my shooting pictures. Not long after I heard a loud raucous of what it seemed several crows, perhaps fighting? I couldn’t see them from where I was. I stretched myself to see and then I saw a Cooper’s Hawk circling in the air about 75 yards from my backyard. I noticed that all the birds that were feeding had flown toward the trees and bushes to hide. I think that the alarm call of the crows warned all birds about the Hawk is in the prowl. That’s quite interesting!

Have a prosperous and happy New Year!

I’m Happy!

I’m so happy because I had the weather break that I needed to clean up and fix some of the bird feeders and other stuff that I have on my deck. It wasn’t that terrible cold but I had the sun on me so I was feeling comfortable outside.

I did some cleaning, also trimmed some shrubs that have grown too high. It didn’t take long for these chorus, soon  I was ready for my photo session! I had my camera’s battery charged and tripod set up the night before.

It was exciting to see birds again, by the way I’m feeding the birds another kind of mixed seed from a different supplier I’ve noticed an increase in the amount of birds coming now!.

Those are the birds I’ve seen so far, I’m happy!
