I’m sorry if it may feel redundant but I just can’t ignore the continued flow of other new fledgeling Starlings that are constantly coming to my deck to feed in company of their parents.
Apparently the group of starlings is more numerous that I anticipated. It doesn’t bother me because once they learn to eat on their own they’ll want to spread to other venues and eventually fly away most likely northbound.
I just want to enjoy a bit more of them while they are recent fledged and share their learning process with you at the same time.
There are a variety of other species still coming at different times of the day, unfortunately, I’ve been busy attending some important business non related to photography. I usually manage this daily but sometimes in the year it requires more of my attention and must not neglect it.
Please enjoy more of my new generation of Starlings actually it’s my first generation hatched in my backyard.

This bird has a very sophisticated body shape, it is a great flier, his bill is hard as a steel lance, it’s an expert cracking open seeds and nuts and he can easily walk upside down on almost any surface in the woods. I’m talking about the White-breasted Nuthatch. I saw this bird once fly to a branch and sit directly from flying on the underside of a branch. I blew my mind! That is a feat that perhaps an insect can do but I’ve never expected from a bird. Walking down a tree, walking under a piece of wood is common but coming directly from flying…that’s fantastic!
This bird is very active and fast moving, not and easy subject to track with a zoom lens that for sure. Hard task but not impossible!
I’m glad that the White-breasted Nuthatchs decided to stay in my backyard this year!

Although I’ve been extremely busy the past week I had one opportunity to capture some pictures of the new generation of birds which are frequenting my feeders now.
It really gives me a tremendous satisfaction to see the young birds that where hatched in my backyard, this event has repeated every year since I started my care for the birds and I feel the same way always. A warmth of love in my heart for them!
There’s my welcome to all of them and hope that they will keep coming back to their place of origin every year.
One thing about birds is the rapid pace they grow and become independents, their flying skills are honed in very short time and their appetites make an urgent call for more food, (That’s for sure confirmed! Oy!)
Just like having a new baby in our family, it’s always an event of great emotion an happiness. If I may speculate a bit, that might be the avian’s feelings too. Who knows?
