What’s Up? – Hurricane Aftermath…

Hurricane Aftermath…

It’s been a busy week for three States mainly, Florida, Georgia and Alabama. The devastation of some towns in Florida is tremendous, the wind power as much as surf surges can really produce great damage and floods. Hurricane Michael proved to be one of the strongest in History.

I just hope that the people affected by this disaster will recover soon and live their lives normally. I feel sorry for the persons that passed away tragically and the relatives that lost them.

My home and backyard  are luckily  in good shape, despite the copious rain and wind did not cause any damages. My birds are still there and they managed bravely to overcome the bad weather event. Last Friday morning, we were at 49º F and  it felt a bit chilly for a change.

My thanks to people that contacted me with concern about my safety and my family. I appreciate that very much!

  1. It will be a long, hard road back, but recovery’s possible. Strangely, one of the first signs of recovery after Ike was the return of the birds — there’s nothing like a little birdsong to cheer the heart!

  2. Another beautiful gallery, my friend! I am happy to hear Michael did not cause any damage to your house and yard….or the birds. The storm went just over 200 miles off shore past us. We had bad weather, but no damage here. But I observed huge flocks of sea birds coming on shore and flying to safety past my windows, hundreds of them.

    • There’s no doubt, Michael was very powerful that almost got to be category 5 and you’ve seen what it did to Mexico Beach, totally wiped out, good thing that most the people was evacuated. I’m glad that you were far from this monstrous hurricane. Thank you my dear friend. 🙂

  3. I’m so glad you made it through ok. God really helps us through hard times. He always provides for our needs and gives us the power we need to heal and get through (Matthew 6:33,34; 2 Corinthians 4:7). Prayers to you and your family as you work through recovery.
