I’ve seen plenty of water birds since the storm, but the few songbirds I get because of my location had disappeared — until yesterday. The cardinals are back, and it was a joy to hear their chirping everywhere. One appeared at the water bowl on my balcony, and had a little bath.
It’s a natural behavior… the birds sense any kind of changes of their environment and I suspect that their instincts tell them when they should try and avoid potential dangers. Most likely they flew the opposite direction, away from what they had sensed. After the danger is gone…it was safe for them to head back home. Thank you for sharing Linda. 🙂
