Look Outside my Window!

How great it is to have you back my friends! Now that we have started 2016 with great enthusiasm for a better year, let’s take a look outside my window! L-120Over there on the right! That my frequent visitor the Carolina Wren, he’s a regular round here and you can hear him sing more when the sun is shining. Oh Sole Mio! La, la! What a guy, he’s great!

There he is my dear friend Northern Cardinal (male), he’s one that went through a lot when he got wounded and lost one foot. I don’t know under what circumstances but I’m so happy that he pulled trough and look at him now! L-121He’s a strong and good looking bird. He can do almost everything that the other birds can do. I’m proud of him and he’s always round the backyard. Next to him is my good helper Carolina Wren that spruce up the fallen seeds on the deck’s floor. These two friends are terrific!

Look to your left and you’ll find another exceptional little friend:L-122 the Carolina Chickadee, super active worker and dedicated bird, he is there all the time, commuting tirelessly from their nest to the feeders. This is a perky little bird that I admire and have great affection for. They have nested in my backyard for 10 years.

Bonus: This is a great surprise for you and I, this Palm Warbler is back to great delight for me because it gave me another opportunity to shoot more photographs of him. L-123 As you can see, now that we have a break away from all the rain and horrible storms, birds are happy to get back to the feeders a bit relieved from the weather inclemency!

  1. HJ I love your little birds, like ours they are all fast moving and extremely industrious little avians. I am amazed at the speed they fly and move about. I have tried playing movie of some of them in slow motion, and still can not capture their movements. The best thing is that we have birds we know are our little friends that we see daily or frequently. You have so many, I only have one little Butcherbird who delights me every day without fail.

    • I understand very well, when I started photographing birds, it was hard to get good shots but you have to plan and have strategies in order to get good shots, then you get more experience and gets to be less difficult. I do enjoy my birds a great deal! Thank you for sharing Ashley! 🙂
