Carolina Wrens are indeed fascinating — in Illinois their population rises and falls based on severity of winter. It’s a treat to see and hear a Carolina Wren in northern Illinois, but in southern Illinois, you can hear them constantly singing and chattering in spring and summer.
Keep in mind that winter in the north of Illinois is harsh because of the Lake Michigan and that compared to southern Illinois is a difference of several digits in the temperature and wind chill. I like these birds because their vitality and loud tone of voice. Thanks Sheryl! Happy New Year! 🙂
This bird is too cute to be true. 🙂 His body shape is lovely.
There you go, you have an inspiration for your work! Thanks Rosa! 🙂
