I’d Like to Believe

I’d like to believe that the sun wakes me up gently when it ‘s dawn,

plays peekaboo through the window,

gives me the good morning greetings without fail,

you might not have anyone to greet you in the morning

but the sun will always be there for you,

so will be there at sunset to say good night too. The sun does not abandon you!

I’d like to believe that birds sing for us,

not solely for their musical value but as a reminder

that them, as much as us, are part of this world.

I’d like to believe that within the complexity of our existence

there should always be love for creatures that inhabit the world.

All creatures! They are our partners in life.

I do believe that they are part of our lives.

As much as I believe that within all of us there’s a soul!
