Wind and Rain
From a very windy day we switched to all rain, all night, all day. But do you want to know something? I don’t really care, I talk about the weather a lot but it doesn’t bother me anymore!
Before the rain started I had the opportunity to shoot some pictures and I had to make it a short session because the wind was blowing too strong and it’s hard to see through the viewfinder and hard to keep your own balance.
It was good that I stopped because it got too rough before the rain began to pour.
Water is exactly what the trees, plants, grasses, etc. need now to wake up and restart the growing process. The cycle continues! Mother Nature knows best!
I’ve seen a couple of Brown-headed Cowbirds but I did not have my camera ready and they got spooked when they saw me.
The couple of Eastern Bluebirds that were appraising the bird house did not come back. No comment.
I’ve seen a lot of the Carolina Wren this year, I like that! It’s a good looking bird and non aggressive.

We could use rain it would wash away the snow. Lovely birds.
Just wait a bit longer Victor! Thanks! 🙂
What is the name of the last bird, bottom right? Black mask looks a bit like an executioners cap I’ve seen in movies…the rest of him is white & orange. He/she is cool! I love your name in the box too. ~amy
That bird is an Eastern Towhee male. The female is brown instead of black. Thank you Amy! 🙂
Oh I long for the spring robins! Soon I hope !
Just a bit longer and you’ll have them! Thanks Anne! 🙂
I see some green on that bush with the towhee! A nice sign of spring. No green here in Michigan yet, but someday soon!! (I hope!)
Don’t give up yet Amy, Spring is around the corner. 🙂
