Fiasco Day 2 + Frozen Mess
Fiasco Day 2
Today is the second day of the emergency closure of schools and County functions. Many events were canceled by all private schools and County schools. Great part of the working force stayed home to care for their small children, businesses closed doors, deliveries, garbage pick-ups etc. All these for the second day and only rained!

After raining Monday and Tuesday we woke up on Wednesday covered with one inch sheet of ice. Rain had turned to freezing rain overnight and left us with a frozen mess that is extremely dangerous if you’re thinking of driving or even walking outdoors.
I got my car back from the mechanic yesterday afternoon but today I can’t go out anywhere because the ice is not melting yet.
Despite the windy and icy conditions I went out this morning and fed the birds with sunflower seeds only, I ran out of the mixed seeds. I shot some pictures for a few minutes and had to stop because I was freezing myself! 🙂

There is beauty in chaos! Lovely photographs.
Thanks Elisa! How did you do with the ice/snow? I hope okay! 🙂
I suspect I live further North than you, and you are describing everything I hate about winter. Great photographs however.
Thanks Victor! “If they give you lemons… make lemonade” 🙂
Snow can be lived with but ice is an absolute pest. You have my sympathy.
Yes Tom! I wish other people knew this because they go driving under those conditions and cause accidents! Thanks! 🙂
Sounds awful, poor you.
It’s okay Susan, thanks for your sympathy! 🙂
I bet you were colder than the birds! 🙂 Although they’re probably trying to figure out what the heck all this slippery stuff is, lol.
I wore double jackets a wide brim fedora and my knee high rubber boots! The wind chill kill you, I stayed 10 minutes tops outside. Thanks Donna! Keep laughing! 🙂
I send very warm greetings to you…that all ice can melting. So nice, that you are feeding the birds!! Take good care of yourself.
Thank you very much Vera for your nice comment! 🙂
