The World’s Rarest Birds – Book Review
“The World’s Rarest Birds” by: Erik Hirschfeld, Andy Swash and Robert Still
“When I see the images of the beautiful birds shown on “The World’s Rarest Birds” I can’t help but think of the possibility that many of these birds might become extinct in a short number of years! It’s a horrific thought and a poignant reality.
This book goes right to the point and shows the importance of protecting the existence of the threatened species in question. Their survival depends on our action. This book clearly but discretely points out page by page that we should do more to protect our birds. The authors have done a tremendous job to be precise and concise, every image is sharp, first rate quality, the descriptions and pertinent information make this book one of the most interesting I’ve read lately.”

I”ll certainly look for this book. As a conservation photograpaher and blogger, I find it a moral responsibility to learn, participate and educate. The sooner we act, the better chance to help precious creatures from extinction. Thanks, HJ!
When Princeton asked me to pick some books to review I knew this book was going to be interesting. I’m glad I added it to my bird library. Thank you Carmen! 🙂
It truly is a terrible thought.
Thanks for caring Gail! 🙂
I truly do not understand the ones that DON”T care. Are humans so greedy as to want the planet only for themselves?
