Hawkish Attitude

For the past few days the weather temperature in our area has gone higher and it’s very humid also. Not very comfortable for anyone. The birds that are consuming all the seeds I put in my feeders and in  matter of minutes are the Brown-headed Cowbirds and Mourning Doves. Lots of them!

I’m sure that I’ve written about this matter several times before, sorry, I can’t help it. These birds eat too much, too fast and they fight too often. This morning I found a broken dish and a toppled flower pot on my deck. Last week they broke a dish also. This is because they fight each other to place themselves in front of the dish and the melee gets out of hand and ends up with the breaking  of the dish and creating  a total mess.

It’s going to be boring in my back yard until those birds leave, besides, they prevent other birds to get near the feeders. Hmmmm… I wonder where the Hawks are now?
