Darned Rain!
The darned rain has returned to make our lives miserable and wet!
It’s been a few days that we’re getting heavy downpours which make it almost impossible to shoot pictures for reasons of dark skies lots of water and very few birds. When it rains hard the seeds from the feeders are simply wasted and lost! Very few birds venture out of their sheltered nests looking for food for the obvious reasons I don’t blame them at all!
However, despite the heavy rain I was very surprised yesterday to see two species that really made my day! They’re a Cooper’s Hawk and a Ruby-throted Hummingbird.
Of course these birds do not look their best since they’re actually dripping wet. I hope you like the shots.

Great shots and their feathers somehow protect them from the rain. Yesterday morning the we had rain for 3 hours totaling 3-6 inches causing the streams and rivers to fill their banks.
Then I was right about the title of the post! Thanks for sharing Mary! 🙂
