Song Sparrow

There’s a bird that you always count on to be in my backyard’s deck area, this bird is the Song Sparrow. Sometimes I see movement around the flower pots or planters and I think right away of being the chipmunk but then I realize that is a Song Sparrow instead. They love to hop around the deck, under the table or patio chairs. Only in rare occasions they fly up to the feeders. They are basically ground feeders.

I’ve never seen them in groups or flocks, at the most I would say three individuals here and there.

They usually stay away from other birds and I’ve never seen them at any time be part of a fight or threatening another species.
