Great pix, HJ! I wish I could get hummers at my feeders other than during migration. But that’s okay, I keep the feeders out anyway… I can’t really complain, I didn’t have any visitors until this past year.
Just today I replaced a hummer’s feeder because the previous one was leaking the nectar and was becoming expensive to keep filled. Installed it and saw one hummer with a black head but I didn’t have the camera ready! It’s been raining day and night very hard and makes things very difficult to do. Like wasting lots of seeds, being dark and getting wet which it’s no compatible with cameras and lenses! Shoot only when there’s a short break from rain. Thanks for your comment Lisa! 🙂
With the warm weather that we have just had, I sort of start to think that humming birds might like to move in to the UK. Sadly, we will be back to normal with our weather soon and I will just have to wait to see them when we travel, and of course in your posts HJ. 🙂 Another nice series showing what we are missing.

The weather is so unpredictable lately. It seems like we either get no rain or too much of it. Good luck and I hope you dry out somewhat soon! 🙂
Lovely hummer series and great trigger finger HJ! They are so fast! 🙂
Thank you Donna! Yes, they are impressibly fast.:)
