Oh…Spring!
Once again I was captivated by avian courtship “moves”! Only this time the protagonists were a House Finch couple.
The female Finch was eating her daily meal at the feeder when a male Finch with a stretched neck stood near by trying to call her attention, after a while seemed like his persistence worked out and she decided to give him a chance to woo her. They walked away from the feeder and while she calmly stood in front of him, the handsome male Finch began swaying from side to side with rhythm and grace. He repeated the same motions a few times then stopped and a minute later they both flew away apparently in the same direction.
I have a suggestion for you when viewing the pictures on the slide show, press the arrows quick and you will see how the bird moved.
