American Flamingo
The American Flamingo is the only flamingo that inhabits through the Caribbean Sea, the northern coasts of South America and on the Galapagos island.
These birds are tall and slender, their bright red-orange and pink bodies are immediately identifiable.
These birds feed on plankton, invertebrates and other organisms using their curved bills as filtering traps.

You’re right about that, the coloration of plumage varies because of the type of food they ingest, being different from Continent to another Continent.
