Show Time!
There are shows on TV such as Jay Leno’s, Conan’s, Letterman’s and others. I don’t watch any of them, I used to watch once in a while years ago before the invention of Internet. But I know what those show’s formats are about, interviews, personalities, celebrities, music, jokes etc.
I figured that I could have my own show for only one interview to my backyard celebrity, non other that Ruby!
I have prepared a rather short questionnaire about different topics to get to know more about Ruby’s skills and personality. And starts like this:
HJ: I’ve heard that you can do impressions of celebrities, politicians and a variety of characters. I wonder if you could give us some examples of your skills?
Ruby: How about Governor Chris Christie from New Jersey?
Ruby: Or Sir Winston Churchill from England?
HJ: How about celebrities from TV or media?
Ruby: Do you mean posing like Kim Kardashian?
Ruby: Or how about Victoria Beckham?
HJ: I know that you’ve traveled all over the world!
Ruby: To name one, how about Scotland, with my umbrella. It really rains there!
Ruby: I liked the Geisha in Japan!
HJ: Excellent! How about doing some avians of your choice?
Ruby: How about a pelican?
Ruby: Or a Golden Eagle?
Ruby: Finally I’m doing a Penguin for you!
HJ: Thank you very much Ruby! I’m very grateful for this interview!
Ruby: You’re welcome HJ!

What a cutie! And a born ham (Ruby, not you). I wonder what it is that makes some birds show off for the camera. Maybe she caught her reflection in your lens…
It’s ok Lisa… but she performs because she loves me! How about that?
I like a lot of birds for many different reasons but I’ve never been so taken as with these little wonderful creatures. Thank you for your comment Lisa! 🙂
This is fantastic!
Thank you Julie! 🙂
These are great! Be careful…you might get invited on the Tonight Show with your hummer! 🙂
🙂
Thanks for the tourist plug for Scotland!
I couldn’t resist the temptation to mention it! I’m glad that you read it! 🙂
Wow, great hummingbird shots, HJ! And cute post!
Oh, I wanted to tell you HJ, we have our grandson for the weekend. Today he was standing at our floor to ceiling window looking for and pointing to birds (I’m teaching him well!) when suddenly a hummingbird came up to the window directly in front of him and hovered a bit, looking at him before zipping off quickly! Benjamin’s expression was priceless! Wish I could have photographed or video-taped it! BTW, Benjamin had a red shirt on which I know that’s what the hummer saw. 🙂
Thanks Donna! Yes, you’re most likely right about them having an attraction to red flowers and red reflections of objects.
I’m having a ball with my hummingbirds, I counted 5 already! They are so much fun to watch and a great challenge to get good shots. I’ll be posting many of those in the near future. Thanks for sharing Donna, have fun with Benjamin! 🙂
Love this. The pelican, eagle and penguin are perfectly mimicked. What a clever bird.
Thanks! Yes, it takes a lot of practice! 🙂
