More Members of the Family

Monday was a day that we got a respite from the scorching heat for about four hours, although did not rain the sky was kind of gray and a bit breezy. You have no idea the amount of birds that began to appear looking for food! It was morning yet and the emptied all feeders, I had to refill them again. I set my camera and started shooting pictures, that’s when I noticed that many of the birds were just immatures and juveniles. It was so exhilarating seeing the little ones getting their own food and you could also see their parents nearby observing.

There were dozens of birds everywhere all of them enjoying a short break from the nasty heat.

Here I bring you pictures of some of the babies:

Song Sparrow (I)

Tufted Titmouse (I)

Northern Cardinal (M) (J)

Red-winged Blackbird (F) (J)

  1. The song sparrow is so dainty and cute. I love the coloring of the Red Winged Blackbird and the Grackle looks like it should be a movie poster. πŸ˜‰

    • That’s right! It’s easy I just tell the parents that the pictures are for the school’s book! πŸ™‚
