Wednesday’s Blues
One of the most easily identifiable birds are the Eastern Bluebirds. Their color blue is very bright in contrast to the rusty color of their breasts. They are easy to spot unless they are in flight and have the sky as a background.
The brighter the day light the more brilliant they look in fact the seem to glow against a dark background. Of course they are very popular birds for they appearance. Although not very popular with other small birds because they love to invade their nests and eat their eggs. I like them because they are pretty birds but dislike their behavior.

Great photos of the bluebirds. There has been a resurgence in their population in our area and they are a very pretty sight.
Indeed they are! Thank you Mary! π
This is going to sound stupid but I had no idea they were so BLUE!
Don’t say that Julie! You’re as bright intellectually as those Bluebirds are in color!
These are very beautiful. Again, I envy you your bird population! π
You could install a bird feeder in your yard and they will visit you too! Thank you! π
Just love bluebirds. It’s so wonderful when we see the first mountain bluebirds in the early spring – a gorgeous flash of blue just when we need it most.
You’re entirely right about that! “They open the curtain to a brand new Spring”
Thank you for your comment! π
Well, what a bunch of butts! They are a beautiful color though. π

What a beautiful couple! π
Yes they are! Thanks! π
