“Empty Nest”
Yesterday afternoon I recalled that I hadn’t clean the Carolina Chickadees nest from one of the bird houses we have in the backyard. Then I thought it would be a good idea to bring the camera and document my findings.
I’m posting 6 photos today that will tell the story better that I would ever do. Of course that won’t stop me from telling you what I’ve witnessed during last Spring.
It certainly is a story of love and romance and ended with a happily ever after finale. The story had suspense and perilous moments like the times when the Blue Birds wanted to invade their nest. Weathered great rainstorms and a short lived heat wave. Countless hours of being on the alert guarding the nest with his precious damsel in it, and later to be his loyal companion plus their priceless eggs, carrying their future new generation. As far as I could see, literally, the story surpass “Titanic” as romance and adventure and our hero and the love of his life made it alive at the end…and let’s not forget the children and the flying lessons, etc. You know, when you have kids 🙂
I’m so proud to be the invisible visitor that observes but do not interfere with their innocent lives, G-d creatures that breathe happiness into our daily lives.
Great story, good memories! Only that now, all I found was an empty nest.
- Romance
- Guarding tirelessly
- Checking the family
- Now is quiet
- Open the door
- Just an empty nest
