B. J. seed cracker!
Yesterday I had the pleasant visit of a couple of Blue Jays (Male & female) They were having a feast with the sunflower seed that were dropped on the ground by other birds. Good thing I had time to load a newly charged battery in my camera and made myself a good series of shots. I paid more attention to the male Blue Bird because he was very skillfully cracking the sunflower seeds open, against a cement molding. I made a sequence of shots demonstrating this action.
Then the female approached closer to the male and made a graceful walk and fanned her tail beautifully. The rainstorm started and everybody took off. The weather people predict four more days of rain. Grrrr! π¦
