Birds and compassion!
Today I’m going to talk about the Blue Grosbeak and show you a picture of a young one. The blue grosbeaks are very beautiful birds, their brilliant colors standout in contrast to the green vegetation. The very first time I saw one I was elated, I had never seen one bird with such brilliance in my life, it’s not the same when you see a photo in a book, seeing the bird alive was a great experience for me.
My next door neighbors have 4 kids, the oldest one is 7 years old and a couple of years ago I gave him some extra copies of prints I did from birds. Well, last week I saw a rough version of bird feeder, his Mom told me that it was a School project and he made that one with a plastic gallon container with cut outs and a wood dowel across it and the teacher gave him some seeds.
I did something when I went to warn the parents about the snake and to be careful with the kids going there. I gave the kid a real bird feeder as a gift and he was very excited, not only him, he has 2 other younger brothers. They were all huddled together talking about the feeder. I told their Mom about how the love for animals or pets bring up the sense of compassion to good hearted persons when adults. She agreed.
I still have pain in my lower back when I move my left leg, I have the feeling that I must have pinched a nerve. However, the pain is less intense now.
Let’s hope that by tomorrow it’ll be gone. I hate to be inactive.
Here’s the picture of the young Blue Grosbeak:
