Sometimes I go to my backyard deck and sit there to enjoy the breeze and keep my camera handy just in case I see something worth shooting. In one occasion I saw a group of 7 hawks just gliding aloft but very far in the distance, out my camera reach. Just kept an eye on them. Later they separated and flew in different directions, however a group of 3 flew closer to our area but not too close. I took my biggest lens and shot a few frames, (See 2 samples)

Can't tell what kind of hawk it is.

In another time I heard the Canada Geese honking call and quicly got my camera in time to see them pass, far but close enough to see what specie they were. They fly very fast and give you no time for hesitation. I got a few frames luckily. ( See sample)
