The “Other red bird” – House Finch
Today’s topic is the “other red bird” which people refers to: The Hose Finch.
These birds come to the feeders quite often, mind their own business and quarrel only among themselves. I find them difficult to be photograph, their colors and their dark strikes give an illusion of being out of focus all the time.
They feed on the ground as well as the feeder. Travel usually in pairs (Couples) at least that has been my observations.
Species very similar to Purple Finch.
