My wife calls him “woody”
Every time I see the Red-Headed Woodpecker I get such delight and a touch of happiness. This creature has grace, pose, beauty and color. I know that many people has never seen one except in photos. People that have seen the photos I shoot ask me where I got those. They have lived all their lives here and has never seen one on the wild.
I’m more surprised when I see the long list that i’ve photographed just in my backyard!
I guess I should consider myself lucky. My love for Nature has always been deep and only gets more profound with time.
