Blue-headed Vireo, Spc. name: Vireo solitarius

Description:

• White spectacles
• Dark eye
• White wing bars
• Gray head contrasting with olive back
• White throat, breast, and undertail coverts
• Yellowish flanks
• Thick bill with hooked upper mandible
• Males and females are similar
• Juveniles similar to adults

I had this bird’s photos on hold unclassified for a few days because its similarity to other birds, then finally got the descriptions and similar features enough to identify it, information gotten from several sources. I’m happy to add another species to my list of birds! 🙂
