Gallery # 24
Yesterday we had a fairly light gray day, good for shooting without harsh shadows. Also I got some beautiful visitors that I could get some shots others I saw them but I didn’t have a chance to photograph. My list of birds that I saw yesterday is as follows:
- Cooper’s Hawk, I saw this bird gliding over the feeders and then stood on a small Live Oak but as soon I got my camera he flew away.
- Many Mourning Doves eating on the ground, there’s a lot of seed that fell because of the high winds we had.
- Lots of Field Sparrows, all these are regulars rain or shine! 🙂
- Northern Cardinals, males and females.
- Song Sparrows running around even going to the feeders. Usually they eat on the ground.
- A couple of House finches, didn’t stay long.
- One magnificent Red-headed woodpecker.
- Some Carolina Chickadees, I saw one checking one of the bird houses.
- I saw a couple of Eastern Towhees, male and female.
- I believe I saw an American Goldfinch but just flew by and left. I had no time to turn on my camera and was gone!
It was a good day considering the amount of birds that visited my backyard!
