In two different occasions I’ve noticed birds with handicaps ( See photos) It made me feel sorry for them.

In both cases the birds were missing a leg. I observed  in both cases how well they have adapted themselves and through enormous efforts maintain flight allowing them to hover and be able to eat without standing on the feeder. I was very impressed to see the maneuvers made by the birds, which was the main reason that called my attention, seeing a bird fluttering around the feeders but not sitting on it.

In my mind I wonder what kind of accident or dangerous event they went through and lose a leg at the end of their ordeal. This world is very dangerous whether you’re a bird or a human being. It’s dangerous enough by nature, without having to add all the violence and craziness that we see on the News everyday. Let’s hope for a peaceful future for all.
