Red-Shouldered Hawk

Red- Shoudered Hawk, sp. name: “Bufeo Lineautus”

Description:

The Red-Shouldered Hawk is a large, fairly long tailed broad winged hawk, with short, dark hooked beak.

Brown head, reddish breast and underwing coverts, pale belly barred with reddish, dark tail has several narrow white bars.

Eastern hawks are paler about the head and much paler breasts.

Males and females are similar.
