Indigo Bunting, sp. name: “Passerina Cyanea”

Description:

The Indigo Bunting is a small songbird, with short thick bill. Males are blue all over, deepest on head, black in front of eyes, occasionally with some brown on back, wing, breast or under tail, or whitish on belly.

Wing feathers dark edged with blue, upper bill blackish, lower blue-gray.

Females are all brown with streaky chest, may have some blue feathers on wing, tail or rump.
