Description:
The Chipping Sparrow is a slender fairly long-tailed sparrow. Summer Chipping Sparrows look clean and crisp, with frosty underpants pale face, black line through the eye and topped with rusty color crown. In winter they are buff brown with streaky underpants. Chipping Sparrows feed on the ground.
Their habitat: They are found in open woodlands and forests with grassy clearings, also in parks, roadsides, backyards particularly if you have feeders.
